Zhan Chen is an architect and a visiting assistant professor at Auburn University School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture. Prior to joining the faculty at Auburn, he worked at the offices of Rogers Marvel Architects, Marvel Architects, and FX Collaborative in New York City. While at Rogers Marvel, Zhan worked on several competition entries, including the winning proposal for Constitution Gardens on the National Mall. At Marvel Architects and FX Collaborative, Zhan completed projects ranging in scale and program from a memorial landscape in the Brooklyn Navy Yards to large residential developments in Manhattan and Washington DC. Zhan was also an adjunct professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he taught 2nd year design studio. Zhan is a registered architect in New York.
