The 1970s design by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill created a sound spatial framework which identified the lake, the meadow, the full complement of tree cover,and the path system as the four fundamental elements of garden’s design. We want to amplify the unique environment created by these components – to introduce the experience of quiet discovery, offer glimpses of what may lie within, and lead to the surprising grandeur of this beautiful landscape.
